My art pieces are heavily influenced and inspired by surrealism. When looking at artwork, I enjoy doing a double take and looking into the story each piece tells. Every little bit of the artwork is purposeful, and I believe that soaking in the details is a part of experiencing the work. As I create my art, I love merging different concepts into a Frankenstein-like piece. A fishbowl combines with a human head; a diner, a grocery store, and a laundromat hybrid are connected with tiled floors and grime; A television resides in an overgrown field of flowers. Each idea is vastly different from one another, yet through imaginative choices -whether is be an exaggeration of features, a subtle glow, or a bit of dirt and grime- a whole new story is told.
