Artist Statement

I am the type of artist that really has not found a “set” media. I work in drawing pencils, acrylics, or even charcoal. The reason why I jump from media to media and not work with just one is because I want to be different. I want to have a variety of works makes me a well rounded artist.

An art movement that stands out to me is realism. I am always very impressed with the results, I have tried to make my work realistic as possible it is tricky and time consuming which honestly I enjoy. I like taking my time making sure I get all of the details. For example the tiny hairs on a cat, or even the different colors a flower has.

My source of inspiration is the world around me, the leaves on the trees, a bug you find on the ground, or a simple pattern on a lunchbox. We all need to stop everyone in a while and look at the world as a whole rather than all of the flaws and imperfections. Our world gives us beautiful sunsets, bright and colorful foliage and people can tend to overlook those things.  Everything in this world has its own story and if you keep on digging it has a deeper meaning. The most simple things like the river down the road. The river could have been damaged and no one would ever notice. We all pick out tiny details and we should be looking at life as a beautiful thing we all should be thankful for. Everything has a backstory, a current story, and a future story so does every artwork.
