Oftentimes when anxious or stressed I find myself escaping into my imagination, creating places where I can go and relax. I find it hard to explain the world that I’ve created, but through art I’ve been able to capture these places of comfort. When I draw buildings I take architectural inspiration from places where I have positive memories of feeling free and relaxed such as in Boston and Newburyport. I also design interior spaces which I create to feel a sense of comfort, and do the things I enjoy the most such as building a lego set or drawing.
Each individual art piece is connected in the singular world I escape to inside my head.A building that fits the personalities of everyone who lives inside. The world is meant to be quiet and peaceful, so the inhabitants are quiet ghosts who explore the world that I have created.
