Jenna Vinci

I create art because it is a creative outlet for me. I find it very rewarding to see a finished piece after countless hours of working on it come together, which drives me to want to create the next piece. I am an artist who enjoys working with different mediums, but after trying new mediums I find myself back at acrylics. My favorite thing to create is color as shape and light paintings inspired by my favorite artist, Lori Mehta. I like that her art uses shapes to show a greater image. Working with similar pieces I have realized the importance of shapes when creating. Though I do favor acrylic, I use different mediums including gouache, oil, pastel, pencils, and charcoal. When it comes to choosing a medium for a piece I chose which one will be most effective in showing the concept and looks the best in the end.
