Watercolor has become my media of choice over the years. The water base allowed me to experiment with opacity and layering. In the past year, I have tried adding other types of media such as gouache, acrylic, and oil into my arsenal. I enjoy creating realistic artwork but also combining more fantastical pieces such as a flat background juxtaposed with a 3-D subject. Much of my work focuses on realism, however, I am expanding my horizons with more abstract and collaged mediums. I draw inspiration from my own life experiences, inner thoughts, and places I have traveled. Photography has allowed me to capture moments in time and re-experience the most meaningful moments. My portfolio contains both studio art and photography to display my broad range, something I hope to continually expand.
